Ex-CJ K Haque shown arrested in another murder case

A court here yesterday showed former Chief Justice ABM Khairul Haque as arrested in another murder case took place during the July Mass Uprising in 2024.
Khairul Haque, 80, was shown arrested in the Khobaib murder case. Khobaib, allegedly shot dead under Jatrabari over bridge area on August 5, 2024. His brother Jobair Ahmed filed the case on November 16, 2024, in this connection.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Sarah Farzana Haque passed the order as police produced the former chief justice before the court and pleaded to show him arrested in the case lodged with the Jatrabari Po-lice Station.
A team of the Detective Branch (DB) arrested Khairul Haque from the capital’s Dhanmondi area on July 24, 2025. He was later shown arrested in a murder case.
