Mymensingh: State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Bobby Hajjaj yesterday said primary-level students will get a new curriculum in 2028 following the completion of the planning, training and pilot-ing phases.
“The curriculum design will be completed within the next one year. Training for teachers under the new curriculum will be completed in 2027 and 2028,” he said.
The state minister made the remarks while addressing a meeting on sharing the baseline report of the pilot programme for improving language skills at the primary level, organised by the National Academy for Primary Education (NAPE) in Mymensingh yesterday afternoon.
He said the standard of primary education would now be measured by how much students are actually learning.
“The key indicator will be how much we can teach and ensure students learn effectively,” he added.
Director General of NAPE Farid Ahmad and other officials were present at the event.
