12 police officials transferred

The government has transferred 12 officials of the Bangladesh Police, holding the ranks of additional deputy inspector general (DIG) and superintendent of police (SP), in a single reshuffle.

The transfers were made through separate notifications issued on Thursday. The orders, issued in the public interest, will come into effect immediately, according to the notifications.

As per one notification, Commandant (SP) of the In-Service Training Centre in Satkhira, Mokbul Hossain, has been transferred to the same post in Kushtia. Commandant (Additional DIG) of Armed Police Battalion (APBn)-12 in Dhaka, Md Iqbal, has been made Commandant (Additional DIG) of APBn-5 in Dhaka.

Additional DIG of the Highway Police Bangladesh, Md Enamul Kabir, has been posted as Commandant of APBn-12, while Commandant (Additional DIG) of APBn-13, Mohammad Shihab Kayser Khan, has been transferred as Additional DIG of the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI).

Directors (Additional DIG) of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), Mohammad Kamruzzaman and Khalidul Haque Howlader, have been appointed as Joint Police Commissioners of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).

Deputy Commissioner of DMP (Supernumerary Additional DIG) Mohammad Rabiul Hossain Bhuiyan has been transferred as SP (Supernumerary Additional DIG) of the Bangladesh Police Navy Police, while Additional SP (Supernumerary) of APBn Nusrat Jahan Mukta has been posted as Additional SP (Supernumerary) of the Special Branch Bangladesh Police.

In another notification, SP of Dhaka district Md Mizanur Rahman has been transferred as SP of PBI, while SP of Police Headquarters Shamima Parvin has been made SP of Dhaka.

SP of Bagerhat Mohammad Hasan Chowdhury has been transferred as SP of Chattogram Range, while Deputy Commissioner of DMP Hasan Mohammad Naser Rikabdar has been posted as SP of Bagerhat.
