Pakistan High Commissioner to Bangladesh Imran Haider met with Agriculture, Fisheries and Livestock Minister Amin Ur Rashid at his office at the secretariat here yesterday.
During the meeting, various issues of mutual cooperation including import-export of agricultural prod-ucts, education and research, agriculture, fisheries and livestock sectors of the two countries were dis-cussed.
Amin Ur Rashid said that there are many similarities in the agricultural sectors of Bangladesh and Paki-stan. The government is planning to restructure agriculture to make Bangladesh’s agricultural sector ex-port-oriented, he added.
The minister said that the government is working by prioritizing high-yielding crops and modern farm-ing systems.
