Bangladesh Jatiotabadi Chatradal (JCD) Organising Secretary Md Amanullah Aman said that a nation’s true strength lies not in its territory, but in the brains of its talented youth.
He made the remarks while speaking at the University of Science and Technology China (USTC).
Addressing Bangladeshi students there, Amanullah said, “The torch of knowledge you carry is a matter of immense pride and inspiration for us as the finest representatives of our nation on foreign soil.”
“You are surrounded by world-class laboratories, modern technology, and innovative thinking. This will not only broaden your perspective but also equip you to solve complex problems,” he said, adding that in this era of scientific excellence, China is a global leader, and their presence there is not just a personal achievement, but a solid foundation for the future prosperity of Bangladesh.
“To lay the cornerstone of the dream of a self-reliant, modern, and democratic Bangladesh, it is essential to utilise the knowledge and technical skills they are acquiring in China,” Aman said, noting that every research project, every lab session, and every theoretical lesson can eventually breathe new life into the development of the motherland.
Calling to prepare themselves to raise the dignity of Bangladesh, he said, “You may face loneliness or adversity in a foreign land, but if your goal is to build a developed and prosperous Bangladesh, that noble objective will be your driving force.”
A BNP delegation departed for China on 15 April at the invitation of the Chinese government, with Aman also included as a member.
