Bogura: Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is scheduled to visit his home district Bogura on April 20.
It will be his first visit to Bogura after assuming office as Prime Minister following the 13th National Parliamentary Election.
State Minister for Local Government, Rural Development, and Cooperatives Mir Shahe Alam and Prime Minister’s Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Rumon informed yesterday at a press conference at the Bogura Circuit House.
According to the schedule in Bogura, the Prime Minister will go to the District Judge’s Court to launch an online bail bond distribution program and inaugurate the newly elected building of the Bar Associa-tion. Later, he will inaugurate Bogura Municipality as a City Corporation.
Then the Prime Minister will visit his ancestral home at Bagbari in Gabtali to distribute family cards, inspect a rural hospital, and inaugurate a canal digging program.
As the final event of the day he will address a public meeting to be organized by the BNP at the Alta-funnesa playground in the city at 3:00 PM.
