Chief whip hopes to make JS session lively

Chief Whip of the 13th Jatiya Sangsad (JS) M Nurul Islam yesterday said the upcoming national parlia-ment will be lively, effective and participatory.
“The government and the opposition will play role in expediting the development of the country through constructive discussion and exchange of views”, he said.
The chief whip has expressed his hope to journalists after paying tribute at the National Martyr’s Memo-rial in Savar yesterday morning.
The JS whips also paid homage at the memory of the martyrs through placing floral wreaths during this time. The whips were- Alhaz M GK Gaus, Rakibul Islam, Mia Nuruddin Ahmed Apu, M Ruhul Quddus Talukder Dulu, M Akhtaruzzaman Mia and ABM Ashraf Uddin.
After paying tribute, they observed silence for a while and prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul of those martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the great war of Independence.
Later, the chief whip signed the visitor’s book at the National Martyr’s Memorial.
Jatiya Sangsad secretariat’s additional secretary, concerned officials including sergeant at arms and me-dia workers were present.
