Portfolios of 2 advisers, 8 state ministers redistributed

The government yesterday redistributed portfolios of two advisers and eight state ministers through sepa-rate gazette notifications issued by the Cabinet Division.
Prime Minister’s Political Adviser Nazrul Islam Khan has also been given charge as adviser to the Minis-try of Agriculture, while Political Adviser Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed has also been made adviser to the Ministry of Industries.
Among the eight state ministers, Md Shariful Alam has been made the state minister for the Ministry of Textiles and Jute. Sultan Salauddin Tuku, who previously held responsibilities for the Ministries of Fish-eries and Livestock, Agriculture and Food, has now been assigned charge solely as the state minister for the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock.
Habibur Rashid has been made the state minister for the Ministry of Railways as well as the Road Transport and Highways Division, while Md Razib Ahsan has been appointed state minister for the Min-istry of Shipping and the Bridges Division.
Md Zonayed Abdur Rahim Saki has been made the state minister for the Ministry of Planning, and Far-zana Sharmin has been appointed state minister for the Ministry of Social Welfare.
Md Nurul Haque has been made the state minister for the Ministry of Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment, while Bobby Hajjaj has been appointed state minister for the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education.
The gazettes said the orders will come into effect immediately.
