The prosecution at the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-1 yesterday pleaded for framing charges in a case filed against former ministers Rashed Khan Menon and Advocate Qamrul Islam over alleged crimes against humanity during the July Mass Uprising.
Chief Prosecutor Md Aminul Islam took part in the hearing yesterday.
At the end of yesterday’s proceedings, the two-member ICT-1, headed by Justice Golam Mortuza Ma-jumder, adjourned the hearing till March 11. The tribunal passed the order, allowing a time plea filed by the defence counsel Mansurul Haque Chowdhury.
The defence is scheduled to move their discharge petition on that day.
The prosecution filed the formal charge in the case on February 3, 2026, which was later taken into cog-nisance by the tribunal.
