A Correspondent:

Rajshahi: Mizanur Rahman Minu, Member of Parliament from Rajshahi Sadar, Adviser to the BNP Chairman, and former mayor, expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah following his appointment as the Land Minister of the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.
At this historic moment, he paid tribute to the country’s independence hero, Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman and the steadfast national leader Begum Khaleda Zia, praying for the salvation of their souls.
Minu also expressed deep appreciation to Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, describing him as a symbol of the hopes and aspirations of the Bangladeshi people.
He extended heartfelt thanks to the people of Rajshahi and the entire nation, calling his appointment a reflection of their prayers, love, and steadfast support.
The minister urged party leaders, activists, and supporters to respect party decisions and avoid organizing victory processions, color celebrations, festivities, fireworks, or similar events, warning that violating these directives would be treated as part of an opposition conspiracy.
Land Minister Minu sought prayers, cooperation, and support from all for the overall development of Bangladesh and Rajshahi. He pledged to work tirelessly to fulfill his ministerial duties and contribute to the city’s progress.
Residents of Rajshahi expressed joy over the appointment, noting that the city has received a cabinet minister from the Rajshahi Sadar constituency after a 47-year gap. Sweets were distributed across neigh-borhoods following his oath-taking ceremony.
Shariful Islam Jony, acting convener of the Rajshahi city unit of Jubo Dal, described Minu as the archi-tect of modern Rajshahi who has dedicated his life to the party. He also thanked Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on behalf of the people for Minu’s cabinet appointment.
