Staff Reporter:
A female garment worker was killed when a bus knocked her down in Mugda area of the capital early Monday.
The deceased was identified as Noyon Moni, 44, wife of Abdul Hamid of Shariatpur district. She used to live in Mugda area with her husband.
The accident occurred at night when the bus hit her while crossing the road, leaving her injured, said Abu Tarek, sub-inspector of Mugda Police Station.
Later, she was taken to Mugda Medical College and Hospital where the doctors declared her dead.
The body was later sent to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital morgue.
Police arrested the bus driver.
