Chiefs of the three services visited Gazipur district on Tuesday ahead of the 13th parliamentary election and the referendum on the July National Charter.
During the visit, Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral M Nazmul Hassan, and Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan exchanged views with senior military officers, officials of law enforcement agencies from Gazipur, Narsingdi, and Narayanganj districts, and senior civil administration officials at the conference room of the Bangladesh Rice Research Institute (BRRI).
The discussion focused on inter-agency coordination and overall security measures to ensure that the national election is held in a peaceful, fair, and neutral manner, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Directorate said in a press release.
The chiefs stressed the importance of professionalism, neutrality, discipline, patience, and citizen-friendly conduct while performing duties.
They also inspected on-ground activities of armed forces personnel deployed under “In Aid to the Civil Power” and provided necessary instructions.
