Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has carried out a significant reshuffle, transferring eight officers holding the ranks of Deputy Commissioner, Additional Deputy Commissioner, and Assistant Commissioner.
The changes were ordered on Thursday (9 October) through three separate directives signed by DMP Commissioner Sheikh Md Sajjat Ali.
Among the postings, Molla Mohammad Shahin, Deputy Commissioner (in-charge) of the DMP Crime Command and Control Centre, has been appointed Deputy Commissioner (in-charge) of the Intelligence Division. Md Suman Mia PSC, Deputy Commissioner of DMP POM-South Division, has been transferred to serve as Deputy Commissioner (in-charge) of POM-North Division.
Meanwhile, Additional Deputy Commissioner SAM Fazl-e-Khuda of DMP POM-West Division has been posted to the Operations Division’s Crime Command and Control Centre. Additional Deputy Commissioner Sagar Dipa Biswas of DMP PR & HRD Division has been transferred to POM-South Division. Rubel Haque, Additional Deputy Commissioner of DMP Wari Zone, has been assigned to the Intelligence Division, and Md Nur Islam, Additional Deputy Commissioner at DMP Crime Command and Control Centre, has also been posted to the Intelligence Division.
In the Assistant Commissioner cadre, Md Sohel Rana of Traffic-Gulshan Division’s Traffic-Badda Zone has been transferred to Wari Zone as Assistant Commissioner, and AKM Mehedi Hasan has been appointed Assistant Commissioner at the Operations Division’s Crime Command and Control Centre.
