According to the press release, the US Pacific Air Forces conduct various training exercises across the world every year. In Bangladesh, BAF helicopters and transport aircraft are often deployed in disaster response and emergency situations. The primary focus of Operation Pacific Angel 25-3 was to enhance the effective use of BAF helicopters and transport aircraft in emergencies and adverse conditions.
The exercise involved one C-130J transport aircraft and one Mi-17 helicopter from the Bangladesh Air Force, alongside two C-130J transport aircraft from the US Pacific Air Forces. A total of 150 BAF personnel and 92 US personnel took part, along with members of the Bangladesh Army and Navy.
Through this joint exercise, the two air forces not only exchanged professional skills and experiences but also strengthened interoperability, strategic cooperation, and mutual trust. Additionally, the provision of services to local communities by medical, engineering, and logistics experts of the air forces is expected to reinforce bilateral relations on a more humane and sustainable foundation.
