One die of Dengue, 665 cases overnight

Health officials yesterday said one person died of Dengue and 665 fresh cases reorded in the past 24 hours till Tuesday morning.
“During the period, (of the 665) 135 patients were hospitalized in Barishal division, 79 in Chattogram division, 125 in Dhaka division excluding the capital, 141 in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) and 83 in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) areas, 67 in Khulna division, 19 in Mymensingh division, 14 in Rangpur division and two in Sylhet division, a Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) statement said.
Since the start of the dengue onslaughts Bangladesh this year witnessed so far 156 deaths while the dis-ease inflicted 39,192.
The dengue last year claimed 575 lives and inflicted 1,01,214 people in the country.
