2 to die for killing girl after rape

Barishal: A Barishal court on Monday sentenced two people to death for killing a young girl after rape in 2013.
Barishal Woman and Child Repression Prevention Tribunal Judge Rakibul Islam handed down the pun-ishment.
The condemned convicts were Kabir Akon and Jabbar Bepari of Hizla upazila.
They were fined Tk one lakh each.
According to the prosecution, Khadiza was raped by the convicts on East Koralia village in Hizla upaizla while retuning home on July 28, 2013.
Later, they killed her and dumped the body to a canal.
Moktar Hossain, maternal uncle of Khadiza, filed a case in this connection.
Police later recovered the body of Khadiza from the canal.
