Sub-Inspector (SI) Moktar Hossain, General Recording Office (GRO) of Gulshan Thana told that a first information report (FIR) was submitted to the court of Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (ACMM) Ziadur Rahman yesterday in this regard.
The court instructed the officer-in-charge (OC) of Gulshan Thana to submit a report on this issue on Oc-tober 9 after filling the case, the GRO said.
The other accused of the case are-former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, former Road and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader, former Education Minister Mohibul Hassan Chowdhury, former Jute and Textile Minister Jahangir Kabir Nanok, former State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Mohammad A Arafat, Controversial Businessman Safiul Alam alias S Alam, former General Secretary of banned Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) Siddiqui Nazmul Alam, its President of Dhaka City north Reaz Mahmud, Vice-President Mostafa Al Nafiz, General Secretary Sagor Ahmed, activist Md Nur and an Awami League (AL) worker Shamim.
According to the FIR, the accused have been hatching conspiracy against the anti fascist leaders includ-ing NDM Chairman Bobby Hajjaj and other front ranking warriors who fought against Sheikh Hasina’s government for long time.
Bobby Hajjaj filed a case with the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-1 last year demanding trial of AL and its 14-party alliance leaders. He also filed a writ petition with the High Court seeking an instruction to the Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) to investigate into corruption against Tulip Siddiq and other members of the Sheikh family in connection with Ruppur Power Plant project.
The complainant also mentioned in the FIR that businessman Saiful Alam has given huge money to de-stabilize Bangladesh and Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, Jahangir Kabir Nanok and Mohammad A Arafat have been coordinating to kill the front ranking July warriors.
As part of this conspiracy, Mostafa Al Nafiz and Md Nur entered into the Gulshan residence of Bobby Hajjaj on September 6 to kill him.
The guards of the house caught accused Nur for his suspicious movement who later confessed that Sheikh Hasina has directly instructed Mostafa Al Nafiz to kill Bobby Hajjaj by stabbing or throwing bombs to his car at any convenient time.
Businessman S Alam has invested huge money to carry out this plan, he added.
