A correspondent:
Tangail: Miscreants vandalized the house of Bangabir Abdul Kader Siddique, founder president of the Krishak Sramik Janata League, at Akurtakur in Tangail district town on Saturday night.
A group of 10-12 masked miscreants wearing helmets entered the house around 12:30 am and vandalised two vehicles parked in front of the house and the window panes.
Kader Siddique was at home when the incident took place.
The miscreants climbed over the boundary wall using ladders as the main gate was locked, said a staff of the house.
As the family members and staff raised a hue and cry the attackers fled.
They also hurled brickbats at the house breaking several windowpanes while fleeing the spot.
Tanvir Ahmed, Officer-in-Charge of Tangail Sadar Model Police Station said police visited the scene immediately.
Police are trying to identify the culprits, he said.
