Cumilla: A 42-year-old woman and her daughter were found dead at a house in the village of Jalalapur in Cumilla’s Burichong upazila on Wednesday.
The deceased were identified as Namita Pal, 42, wife of Jibon Chandra and her daughter Tanni Rani Pal, 18, of the village.
Shahidullah Prodhan, in-charge of Debpur Police camp, said being informed by local people, police re-covered the bodies from the house in the afternoon.
Primarily it is suspected that both mother and daughter might have committed suicide by taking poison, said police. Locals said that the family has been in debt for long.
The bodies were taken to Cumilla Medical College and Hospital morgue and actual reason behind it could be known after getting autopsy report, said Shahidullah Prodhan.
