NCC mourns, postpones talks with parties

The National Consensus Commission (NCC) yesterday postponed its second round of talks with political parties following devastating Bangladesh Air Force training air craft crash at Milestone School and Col-lege in the capital’s Uttara area.
The commission, as well as the participating parties expressed profound shock in the causalities, caused by the crash and observed a one-minute silence, said a press release.
The commission prayed for the salvation of the departed souls and conveyed deep sympathy to the be-reaved family members.
On behalf of commission, NCC Vice-Chairman Professor Ali Riaz urged all relevant authorities to take necessary steps to ensure proper treatment of those received burn injuries in the crash.
The 16th day of the second round of the political parties’ discussions with the Commission was underway yesterday.
Representatives of 30 political parties including Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), Bangladesh Ja-maat-e-Islami, National Citizen Party (NCP), Gana Adhikar Parishad, Gana Sanghati, Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB), Biplobi Workers Party and Amar Bangladesh (AB) Party participated in the talks.
