Planning Adviser Wahiduddin Mahmud yesterday said Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus did not say he will resign.
“The Chief Adviser is staying with us. He did not say he will resign. Other advisers are also staying. We have come to perform the responsibilities those were given on us,” he told reporters.
Wahiduddin Mahmud said this after an unscheduled meeting of the council of advisers following the weekly ECNEC meeting at NEC Bhaban at Agargaon.
Chief Adviser and all members of the advisory council attended the meeting.
Responding to a question, Wahiduddin Mahmud said, “the responsibilities given to us are big. We cannot leave the responsibilities.”
“We are discharging our responsibilities, and obstacles are being created while we are doing our tasks,” he said.
The planning adviser said, “We have identified the obstacles. Now we will solve those and perform the responsibilities entrusted to us,” he said.
Environment, Forest and Climate Change Adviser Syada Rizwana Hasan told reporters that we are eval-uating the interim government’s performances, and it is true that in some cases we couldn’t perform properly. She also said that the reform and other issues also were discussed in the meeting.
