BNP Senior Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has raised several questions over the role of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami during the country’s Liberation War and asked them to make it clear where they fought, under which sector.
“What was your role during the Liberation War? Where did you (Jamaat) fight, under which sector commander?” Rizvi said coming down heavily on Jamaat’s Ameer Shafiqur Rahman for his remarks that his party is one of the two true patriot forces in the country.
“People will laugh at you (Jamaat Ameer, if you continue making such ridiculous statement,” Rizvi said while addressing a programme in Sylhet on Thursday.
Claiming that Bangladesh Army is undoubtedly a patriotic force, Rizvi said, “I am surprised how Jamaat can also claim to be a patriotic force.”
