Nahid asks to slash unnecessary projects of a2i

Posts, Telecommunications and Information Communication Technology Adviser Md Nahid Islam yes-terday directed the authorities concerned to slash the unnecessary projects of Aspire to innovate (a2i).
He issued the directive while visiting the a2i headquarters in ICT Tower here, said a press release.
The adviser said that initiatives taken by a2i should reach the county’s people and innovative energy has to be used.
Referring to the new Bangladesh attained in exchange of blood of student-people, he said, “We must act with respect for that blood.”
He asked the officials to see that no complaint would come about the work of a2i.
Nahid Islam said that several investigation committees have been formed to see the irregularities and corruption of a2i. “The investigation process should be impartial and transparent,” he added.
Mentioning that the youth-folk of Bangladesh will be engaged in the information technology sector, he said, if necessary, an advisory team will be formed consisting of all the Bangladeshi information tech-nology experts who are working as magnetic-force in different countries of the world. “The youth-folk will be utilized as per their suggestions,” he said.
The adviser said the political trend that is continuing in the country needs reform alongside structural reform of the state.
“Our state structure has become one person centric, where the constitution has empowered the Prime Minister utmost. We want to change this trend by discussing with everyone,” he added.
