Gazipur mill fire under control after 2 hrs

Gazipur: A fire that broke out at Jamjam spinning mill at Shafipur in Gazipur’s Kaliakair Upazila on Wednesday has been brought under control.
Eight fire fighting units brought the blaze under control after two hours of frantic efforts, said Kaliakair Fire Service station officer Saiful Islam.
No casualties have been reported so far.
However, the origin of the fire and the extent of damages are yet to be ascertained.
The fire gutted goods including cotton of the spinning mill, he added.
