Dinajpur: A 25-year-old-youth died and three others sustained injuries as a speeding passenger bus rammed into two bikes carrying them from behind on Dinajpur-Rangpur Highway in Sadar upazila of Dinajpur on Saturday.
Deceased Munna was son of Momtaz of Bhabki in Khansama upazila of Dinajpur while the identi-ties of the injured could not be known but they were admitted to local M Abdur Rahim Medical College Hospital.
Dulu Mia, sub inspector of Kotwali police station, said the accident occurred around noon when the bus knocked down the bikes from behind on the highway in front of Cotton Development Board in Ramdubi area, leaving one dead and three injured.
The injured were sent to the Abdur Rahim Medical Hospital, he said, adding that the bus could be seized but its driver and helper managed to flee.
