Prof Arefin seeks vote for ‘Boat’

Manikganj: Bangabandhu Parishad central committee president Professor Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique yesterday sought vote for Awami League’s (AL) election symbol ‘Boat’, saying that BNP never wants the well being of the country.
“They (BNP) do politics of killing and conspiracy. They kill people burning alive and vandalise the ve-hicles on the roads in the name of blockade,” he said.
Dr Arefin, also former Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Dhaka University, made the remarks while addressing a discussion organized by Bangabandhu Parishad Manikganj district unit at Ghior DN Pilot High School playground on Tuesday evening.
Noting that BNP has started destructive politics in the country again, he urged all to raise voice against it.
Dr Arefin urged the people to cast their vote for ‘Boat’ in the upcoming national elections to bring Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s daughter Sheikh Hasina to power again.
Manikganj district unit of Awami League General Secretary valiant Freedom Fighter Advocate Abdus Salam chaired the discussion.
The function was addressed, among others, by Dhaka University Professor ABM Faruque, Sampriti Bangladesh Central Committee Joint Convener valiant Freedom Fighter Major General (Retd) Moham-mad Ali Sikdar, Shibalaya Upazila Parishad Chairman valiant Freedom Fighter Rezaur Rahman Khan Janu, Ghior Upazila Parishad Chairman Principal Habibur Rahman Habib, Daulatpur Upazila Parishad Chairman Md Nurul Islam Raja, former Vice Principal of Government Debendra College Professor Ba-dar Uddin Ahmed, Khan Bahadur Awlad Hossain Khan College Principal Md Abdur Rouf and Mani-kganj district Awami League Vice President Advocate Shachindra Nath Mitra.
