Six more die of Dengue in 24 hrs Death toll reaches 262

Six more people died of dengue and 2,089 new patients were hospitalized in the country in the past 24
hours until 8:00am on Sunday.
With the latest fatalities, the dengue death toll has risen to 262 in the country this year, according to the
Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Among them, three died in Khulna division while two deaths were reported in Dhaka South City
Corporation and one in Mymensingh division, it said.
Of the total deaths recorded this year, 47.7 percent were men and 52.3 percent were women.
Since January 1 this year, a total of 86,458 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country.
Of them, 80,347 have recovered.
According to the DGHS report, so far 74 people died in Dhaka South City Corporation till September 28
this year while 51 in Khulna division, 30 in Dhaka North City Corporation, 24 in Chattogram division, 22
in Mymensingh division, 20 in Barishal division, 18 in Rajshahi division, 16 in Dhaka division, six in
Rangpur and one in Sylhet division.
Currently, 6,838 dengue patients are undergoing treatment at different hospitals across the country.
Besides, September experienced the highest death toll from dengue with 148 deaths across the country.
