Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) yesterday forecasted rain in different parts of the country today.
According to a Met office bulletin issued this morning, “Light to moderate rain/thunder showers accom-panied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at few places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka,Khulna divisions and at one or two places over Barishal, Mymensingh, Chattogram & Sylhet divisions.”
Besides, it said, moderately heavy falls may occur at places over the country.
Day and night temperatures may rise slightly over the country.
The highest temperature on Friday was recorded at 35.4 degrees Celsius in Srimangal, while yesterday’s minimum temperature was 22.6 degrees Celsius in Bandarban.
In the last 24 hours (till 06 am yesterday), the highest 36 millimetre rainfall occurred in Sreemangal.
The sun sets at 5:51 pm yesterday and rises at 5:49 am today in Dhaka.
