Special Envoy Harder and US Ambassador Brent T. Christensen held the meeting with Foreign Secretary Siam to strengthen partnerships benefiting future generations in both countries.
On Sunday, the envoy, accompanied by Deputy Chief of Mission Megan Bouldin, visited Lalbagh Fort at the invitation of the Department of Archaeology, according to a statement from the US Embassy in Dha-ka.
During the visit, the delegation toured the Mughal-era Hammam Khana, which has been restored with support from the US Ambassador’s Fund for Cultural Preservation.
The US side reiterated its commitment to safeguarding cultural heritage, noting that such initiatives con-tribute to sustainable tourism and promote cultural exchange.
Built in the 17th century, Lalbagh Fort remains one of Dhaka’s most prominent historical landmarks, at-tracting both local and international visitors throughout the year.
