No fuel crisis in country as its import, supply normal: Shahe Alam

Staff Reporter:

State Minister for Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Mir Shahe Alam on Friday said there is no fuel crisis in the country, while the fuel import and supply system is normal.

“The government has taken a plan for the next three months. In addition, some new steps have been taken to save energy, which includes closing the market by 6pm and reducing the expenses of ministers and secretaries by 30%,” he said.

The state minister made the remarks while talking to reporters during his visit to Mahmudul Hasan Chand Bazar in Tangail town.

In the last 17 years, he said, only talk of development has been heard but in reality, no visible development took place.

“Now, while working at the field level, the real picture is being clearly seen,” he added.

Shahe Alam said he has already talked to the district office of Local Government Division for the development of road and market of Park Bazar in Tangail.

“These development works will be started on an urgent basis,” he said.

State Minister for Fisheries and Livestock Sultan Salahuddin Tuku and district LGED executive engineer Mohammad Kamruzzaman were present, among others.
