A nationwide survey conducted by private consulting firm Innovision Consulting shows that in terms of party preference, 52.8% of decided voters said they would support BNP and its allies, while Jamaat-e-Islami and its alliance could receive 31% of the vote.
According to the survey, 47.6% of respondents believe BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman is likely to become Bangladesh’s next prime minister following the upcoming national election.
According to the survey titled “People’s Election Pulse Survey (PEPS) Round-3”, 22.5% of respondents said Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Shafiqur Rahman could become prime minister, while 22.2% said they were unsure.
The findings were presented at a press conference at Karwan Bazar in Dhaka on Friday.
Innovision Consulting Managing Director and Survey Lead Mohammad Rubaiyat Sarwar said the survey assessed voter intentions, election-related perceptions, and changes in opinion ahead of the February 2026 national election.
The survey found strong voter turnout intent, with 93.3% of respondents saying they plan to vote. Nearly 60% expressed support for a “Yes” vote in the referendum to be held alongside the election, though about 22% said they were unaware of the referendum.
Confidence in election management has improved, with 72.3% believing the government can conduct a free and fair election, while 82% said they expect to vote safely at polling centres.
The survey also noted a shift of some undecided and former Awami League voters toward BNP.
Experts at the press conference said voter volatility remains high and that campaign strategies in the coming weeks could significantly influence the final outcome.
