US co.s urged to invest more in Bangladesh

New York: Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus yesterday called upon the US companies to in-vest more in Bangladesh as he spoke at the US-Bangladesh Executive Business Roundtable, titled “Ad-vancing Reform, Resilience and Growth” here.
The US-Bangladesh Business Council (USBBC) organized the event at a hotel in New York in the USA.
Prof Yunus yesterday spoke at the US-Bangladesh business event where he urged top US companies, including MetLife, Chevron, and Excelerate Energy, to invest more in Bangladesh, Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam told a press briefing here.
He said six political leaders of Bangladesh, who are accompanying the chief adviser during his US tour, were present at the meeting and they were introduced with the US top businessmen.
