Passengers can now avail of the metro rail services for 30 minutes more each Friday.
The metro rail will now operate at 3pm instead of 3:30pm, the Dhaka Mass Transit Company Ltd (DMTCL) said in an office order on Thursday.
The new schedule will take effect from 17 January.
According to the DMTCL, the first metro rail will leave Uttara North station for Motijheel at 3pm and the last one at 9pm.
On the other hand, the first train will depart from Motijheel station at 3:20pm and the last one at 9:40.
The trains will run with a 10-minute gap on the Uttara-Motijheel route,
Single-journey tickets will be available for purchase at Uttara North station from 2:45pm and at Motijheel station from 3:05pm.
In addition, Rapid passes can be purchased, and MRT/Rapid passes can be topped up, the DMTCL added.
