A conservancy worker of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) was killed when an unidentified vehi-cle hit him in front of Rajdhani Super Market on Monday night.
The deceased was Md Jamal, 45, his son Sujon confirmed.
Sujon said the incident happened around 10 pm when the unidentified vehicle hit his father from behind on his way home from work, leaving him critically injured.
He was rushed to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where physi-cians declared him dead upon arrival at 11 pm, he said.
Confirming the death, DMCH police outpost’s in-charge Md Bachhu Miah said the body was kept at the hospital morgue for autopsy.
