President Mohammed Shahabuddin on Friday expressed deep shock at the death of Serajul Alam Khan, founder of Jatiya Samajtatnrik Dal and one of the key organisers of the War of Liberation.
In a condolence message, the Head of the State prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed sympathy to the bereaved family.
Serajul Alam, a key person among the three-member nucleus of the Swadhin Baangla Biplabi Parishad in the 1960s, breathed his last at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) at about 2:30pm on Friday.
He was on life support there for the last few days.
