Cox’s Bazar: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has seized over 5 kg of crystal methamphetamine in a drive in Teknaf upazila of Cox’s Bazar.
Tipped off, a team of BGB-2 intercepted a boat in which two smugglers from Myanmar were heading towards Mirza Jor area on Sunday night , said Col Md Mohiuddin Ahmed, commandant of the BGB-2 (Teknaf).
The smugglers, however, jumped into the Naf river and managed to escape, reads a media release.
Later, the BGB men seized 5.2 kg of crystal meth from the boat.
