Khulna City poll 14-party leaders urge to vote for ‘boat’

Khulna: Leaders of 14- party alliance today urged the voters to cast their votes for ‘boat’ for the Khulna City Corporation (KCC) polls, schedule to be held on June 12 to make Khulna a green, clean, modern and smart city.
“There is no alternative to cast vote for AL backed and 14-party alliances mayor candidate Talukder Ab-dul Khaleque to continue the development. Khulna city will get a beautiful look very soon after comple-tion of the ongoing development projects,” they said at a press briefing at the Humayun Kabir Balu Lounge of Khulna Press Club here.
Talukder Khaleque has already announced his 40-point election manifesto highlighting the expansion of Khulna city and solving water-logging problem, they said adding that the development of Khulna will be bounced back if any other candidate win except Khaleque.
Convenor 0f 14-party-alliances and KCC mayor election conducted committee Khalid Hossain, organiz-ing secretary of central Awami League S M Kamal Hossain, city unit AL general secretary MDA Babul Rana, Workers Party leader Delwar Uddin Dilu, JSD leader Sheikh Golam Murtoza, Sammobadi Dal leader F M Iqbal, among others, addressed the press conference.
Meanwhile, the candidates for the posts of mayor, general councilors and reserved women councilors are passing their last moment door-to-door campaign to attract the voters as its campaign will end at today midnight.
