The government has imposed restrictions on imports to resolve the acute dollar (USD) crisis in the country. But the Bangladesh Bank is frequently supplying dollars from the reserve of the foreign currency in terms of import of emergency products, according to a media report.
The dollar price is also increasing because the supply is less compared to its demand.
This time, dollar price has been increased further. Now each dollar is being sold at Tk 109 as per the interbank transaction. On Wednesday (June 14), per dollar price was Tk 109.
As of now, this is the highest rate of the dollar in Bangladesh. Earlier, the price of per dollar was Tk 108.75. One year ago, it was Tk 92. The information was gathered from the sources at Bangladesh Bank.
