ALGIERS, Sept. 4 (Net) — Devastating floods have killed eight people in western Algeria, announced the country’s civil protection services on Sunday.
The floods, which occurred on Saturday evening, swept away a vehicle in the province of Tlemcen, claiming the lives of two men and two women, it said.
In El Bayadh Province, two women and a man deceased after their vehicle carrying them was swept away by the floodwaters, said the services, adding later another person was found dead in the province.
