Staff Reporter:
Members of different units of Bashundhara Shuvosangho are working with students and members of volunteer organisations to control traffic in Dhaka and elsewhere in the country.
In the capital, Shuvosangho members were seen working to control traffic on various roads in Shahbagh, Science Lab, New Market, Azimpur and Palashi areas.
Members of the units of Dhaka University, Eden Women’s College, Government College of Applied Human Science and Dhaka College have been working despite the rain since morning to ease the traffic jam and restore order on the roads.
Beyond traffic management, students have taken on cleaning tasks such as sweeping roads and removing debris.
They also instructed pedestrians to walk on the sidewalks and drivers to pick up or drop off passengers in an orderly manner.
Besides, the students have engaged in enforcing rules and regulations to bring discipline to traffic management.
