AL leader Mirza Jalil’s wife passes away

Farkonda Akhter Saya, wife of Awami League (AL) advisory council member and agriculturist Dr Mir-za Abdul Jalil, died of old-age complications on Sunday night.
She was 83.
“Farkonda Akhter Saya passed away at her won residence on Sunday night,” said a press release signed by AL office secretary Barrister Biplab Barua.
She left behind husband, three sons and a host of relatives and admirers to mourn her death.
Awami League (AL) General Secretary Obaidul Quader yesterday expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Saya.
In a condolence message, he prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.
