Singapore: President Mohammed Shahabuddin will return home on November 1 (Wednesday) after his treatment in Singapore.
“The Medical Board, formed earlier to review the President’s health condition after the cardiac bypass surgery at the National University Hospital of Singapore, yesterday examined all reports, various tests and overall physical condition,” President’s Press Secretary Md Joynal Abedin told yesterday afternoon.
Doctors’ board expressed satisfaction over the progress of the President’s health condition and the Head of the State was allowed to travel by air on November 1, the Bangabhaban spokesman added.
On October 18, the President’s bypass surgery was successfully completed under the supervision of an eminent cardiac surgeon Professor Dr. Kofidis Theodoros of the hospital here.
Earlier, President Shahabuddin left Dhaka for Singapore for better treatment on October 16.
President’s wife Dr. Rebecca Sultana and officials concerned are accompanying the President.
