34 non-cadre officials made assistant secretaries

The government has promoted 34 administrative and personal government officials to the rank of non-cadre assistant secretary, the Ministry of Public Administration said in a notification on Thursday.

The officials have been assigned the 9th grade under the 2015 pay scale.

As per norms, they will serve as officers on special duty (OSD) under the public administration ministry, the notification read.

It is worth noting that non-cadre officials can get promotions up to the rank of deputy secretaries.
