No conspiracy to work against people’s unity: Zahid

Dinajpur: Social Welfare and Women and Children Affairs Minister Professor Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain yesterday said BNP always wants to stand by the people.
“BNP want to alleviate the sufferings of the people. Many conspiracies are underway against the gov-ernment, many things are being propagated in various ways, including media,” he said.
The Minister made the remarks as the chief guest at the inauguration ceremony of distribution of seeds and fertilizers free of cost among 4,000 small and marginal farmers at Dinajpur Nawabganj Upazila Pa-rishad auditorium.
Upazila Agriculture Extension Department organized the event aimed at increasing the cultivation and production of transplanted high-yielding Aman paddy during the Kharif-2 season under the agricultural incentive program for the 2025-26 fiscal year.
Dr Zahid Said, “There is no benefit of conspiring against BNP. BNP believes that the people are BNP’s strength.
The party wants to move forward in governing the country with all of you. No conspiracy will work against the unity of the people.”
He called upon everyone to cooperate with the government to continue the development activities.
During the event, Dr Zahid distributed 10 kg of improved, high-yielding paddy seeds and 10 kg of MOP and 10 kg of TSP fertilizer to each of the listed farmers of Nawabganj Upazila.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Nawabganj Upazila Bidhan Kanti Halder presided over the event while Upazila Agriculture Officer Zahidul Islam and Elias Ahmad spoke.
District BNP leaders Atikur Rahman Raja, Tarikul Islam and Iqbal Hossain and senior government offi-cials were present.
