ABG Technologies gets e-wallet licence

ABG Technologies Limited, a concern of Bashundhara Group, has been awarded with payment service provider (PSP) licence to run electronic wallet in the country.

Payment system department of Bangladesh Bank issued a circular on Thursday regarding the development.

The PSP is a third-party company that grants businesses access to the electronic payment methods that their customers want. ABG Technologies is developing a mobile app – Pocket to provide the digital payment service.
“ABG Technologies Limited has been awarded with PSP licence to run operations inside the country following Bangladesh Payment and Settlement System Regulations-2014,” read the circular signed by Muhommad Badiuzzaman Dider, Director at PSD of Bangladesh Bank.
