Colleges asked to remain careful about FF quota

Staff Reporter:

Inter-education board coordination committee yesterday asked all colleges to remain careful about the qualification of the admission seekers in the XI class of 2025-2026 academic sessions under Freedom Fighter quota.
A notice of the coordination committee yesterday said a student must be the child of a freedom fighter or martyred freedom fighter to be qualified to apply under the freedom fighter quota.
The coordination committee has asked the grandchildren of the freedom fighters — who have applied for the admission and authenticated their candidacy — to cancel their application by communicating with the concerned board and resubmit the application by September 1, 2025.
“The committee issued the notice for all concerned as per sub-section 3.2 of the “Class XI Admission Policy-2025”, the notice said.
According to the notice, the students selected under this quota must submit an attested copy of the ga-zette of the Freedom Fighter and show the original one at the time of admission.
“Otherwise, the board authorities will not be responsible for any complications arising in the admission process later,” the notice added.
