Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Adviser Dr Asif Nazrul said that Monday’s Air Force training jet crash in capital’s Milestone School and College is a great tragedy in our national life on an unprecedent-ed scale.
“Such a massive, catastrophic accident has never occurred in our national history,” the adviser said these while talking to newsmen at the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery.
The Law adviser rushed there along with his colleagues to enquire about the condition of the victims and injured in the fighter jet crash of Bangladesh Air Force into a building of Milestone School and College in the capital’s Uttara area this afternoon .
Dr Asif Nazrul stated that the authorities of the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery have taken all necessary preparations to provide the best possible treatment to the victims.
“If needed, foreign doctors will be brought in, and arrangements will be made to send critically injured students abroad for treatment,” he said, adding, “There will be no shortage in any aspect of their medical care.”
“But what we have lost yesterday,” he remarked with deep sorrow, “cannot be compensated by any-thing.”
A Bangladesh Air Force FT-7 BGI training aircraft crashed into the building of Milestone School and College in the capital’s Uttara area yesterday, resulting in a devastating tragedy.
The sudden incident claimed the lives of at least 19 people, including the aircraft’s pilot, Flight Lieuten-ant Toukir Islam, and left 164 others injured.
