BB asks to low operational cost in banks

Bangladesh Bank (BB) has asked to hold meetings in hybrid mode to ensure cost savings and efficient use of electricity and energy.
The Banking Regulations and Policy Department of BB gave this instruction on Wednesday to reduce the operational cost of the banks.
The notification is meant to ensure frugality in the bank’s expenses and the cost-effective use of electricity and energy.
The BB advised to organize the meetings on the online platform in a hybrid manner instead of 100 percent physical presence of the participants.
The notification is sent to the top executives of banks on Wednesday with immediate execution.
