He revealed this information at a press briefing in front of the State Guest House Jamuna here this afternoon.
Earlier of the day, Judiciary Reform Commission Chief Justice Shah Abu Naeem Mominur Rah-man and Public Administration Reform Commission Chairman Abdul Muyeed Chowdhury handed over their respective commissions’ reports to Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus at Jamu-na.
Members of the commissions were present on the occasion.
About the recommendations of the Public Administration Reform Commission, Azad said it has also suggested reducing the number of ministries and divisions to 25 and 40 respectively to ensure good governance.
The commission also recommended dividing the country into four provinces as it will help admin-istrative and political decentralization of the country, he said.
Besides, the Deputy Press Secretary said the commission proposed changing the name of post “Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO)” to “Sub-District Commissioner (SDC)” and “District Magistrate and Deputy Commissioner” to “District Magistrate & District Commissioner”.
