The three-member tribunal headed by Justice Golam Mortuza Majumder passed the order after hearing a petition submitted by chief prosecutor of ICT Mohammad Rajul Islam.
The tribunal also granted a petition and instructed the investigators to interrogate Sub-Inspector (SI) Abdul Malek of Ashulia thana and constable Mukul Chokdar on January 30 and 28 respective-ly in a case allegedly for burning the body of six students after killing them.
ICT Prosecutor Gazi M H Tamim moved the petition before the tribunal in this regard.
The tribunal on December 24 instructed the law enforcing agencies and the ICT investigators to arrest former lawmaker of Dhaka-19 constituency Saiful Islam and four police officials of Ashulia thana on the same allegations.
The tribunal also instructed the concerned authorities to submit the progress report of the investi-gation and produce the accused persons before the tribunal by January 26.
The previous fascist government led by Sheikh Hasina, her party Awami League and its cadres and a section of law and order forces committed crime against humanity to thwart the anti-discrimination students’ movement. The ICT has been entrusted to try the crimes against humani-ty.
